On clicking View PKGBUILD on an AUR package entry (such as https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tetrio-desktop that uses cgit to display PKGBUILDS, there is a chance that a 502 Bad Gateway (nginx) error will occur. The issue appears to be intermittent, so you may have to click around between a few packages to get it to occur. However, I have been able to get other users to reproduce it.
The issue also occurs on https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/
It seems to be the same issue as https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=302628, but the relevant gitlab issue is closed. (https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … issues/527)

Possibly just https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=307590 (502 is a server error, there's nothing you can do about that
Also see https://archlinux.org/news/recent-services-outages/
https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … io-desktop currently opens here

Hm, but it is not expected that this is currently a problem ... Someone from the devops side should most likely look into the cgit backend ..

It's not for me right now, nor this morning - 502 is typically an intermittent problem, do you currently run into it?

Appears to be working okay right now.

I am marking this as solved since I have not been able to reproduce the issue since that day.

I’m seeing this issue again today (502 Bad Gateway) when trying to view some PKGBUILDs directly, for example:
https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … customizer
The error seems intermittent — sometimes it loads fine, sometimes not.
If I reload the page multiple times, it eventually loads correctly, so it might be that one of the servers behind the CDN is having issues.
Just wanted to confirm whether others are still encountering this too.

I can confirm this is still occurring.

Thanks for posting this! That link will definitely be useful in the future. I was just trying to figure out if it was something on my end, or if it was down. And that confirmed it's not just me.
