[SOLVED] Kmail error: "[...] user rejected wallet access"

So I freshly installed Archlinux on a new laptop and when configuring kmail I started having some issues. I configured the same way I did on the other computer, but it kept failing to connect. Initially I saw this error:

The IMAP server for account IMAP Account refused the supplied username and password.
Do you want to try again, or open the settings?
Login failed, server replied: A000002 NO Authentication failed. [ AUTHENTICATIONFAILED ]

Multiple notifications above covered this one:

Resource IMAP Account is broken.
Could not connect to the IMAP-server >mailserver name<.
Could not read the password: user rejected wallet access

This was suspicious because I didn't get to set the password for the kwallet the first time it was accessed, and KDE wallet manager just lets me change it at will.
During the installation I picked the default plasma desktop without and later installed just a few packages like keepassxc or Falkon.
The worst part is that after I updated the old computer, kmail stopped working there too.
I know the credentials are correct because I verified them in the mobile clients K9 Mail and Delta Chat to be sure that password manager didn't corrupt password somehow.

No, a standard sddm login with password, I didn't even change a theme for it.

What was in that update (/var/log/pacman.log)?

How do you start KDE?
(DM, startx, startplasma-wayland, …)?
What's the output of "qdbus6" (it's in the qt6-tools package)?
What if you remove keepassx? It might jump in and take the fdo.secrets slot?

Removing keepassxc and retarting made no difference, still on that fresh install, I got the same wallet rejected message.

We can mark this thread as a user error. It isn't gmail but a private email service on dovecot. At some point, between checking mobile and old pc kmail I started using a password from the wrong entry in the password manager. Indeed kmail stopped working on my old PC but I think that was because of an accident of mine - I removed a piece of login for smtp and it started to fail to send so I connected those two. But once I put the correct password on the new computer it started to work. So sorry for wasting your time.
