[SOLVED] Plasma widget issues

After the last plasma package updates I have had an issue with plasma widgets on the desktop. For example, for a long time I have had the system monitor widget in one corner of my desktop showing the current kerne version, displayed as 'text only'. This no longer works. If I set the display to 'horizontal bars' then it shows the kernel again but less ideal.  Similarly with the same widget showing core temperatures, again it fails to work when set to 'text only'. Does anyone know of a workaround, or a fix, to let that widget display 'text only' for that information?

This issue seems to have been fixed in a recent update to plasma packages. So I am marking this as solved.
