Beagle integration with thunderbird

Hello,

I've seen that beagle can now index thunderbird mails. Has someone already tried it ? I found that beagle in repos doesn't have thunderbird backend, and I can't find any plugin to do that;

Re: Beagle integration with thunderbird

Well, I am using beagle and kerry, but neither gnome nor thunderbird. But the thunderbird functionality has been there for a long time now and should definitely work.

I just had a quick look at the beaglecvs PKGBUILD in AUR. You could slightly modify it and should then be able to index your mails.

My suggestions:

1.) add dependency on thunderbird

2.) add the configure option "--enable-thunderbird"

3.) remove the following line:

rm -f ${startdir}/pkg/usr/lib/beagle/Backends/ThunderbirdBackends.*

I guess that should be it.

Re: Beagle integration with thunderbird

Well, I finally tried it with the last version. Now you only need to add --enable-thunderbird to the ./configure.

As far as I can see, everything seems to work. I tried with some keywords and my mails are found.
