Steam is not opening

I’m having trouble getting Steam to launch on my Arch Linux system. The installation itself went fine (via pacman -S steam), but when I try to run it (either from the menu or the terminal) Steam immediately crashes after the update phase. (I use arch linux with hyprland)

It briefly shows “Installing update…” messages and then segfaults.

What I have tried:
- Reinstalling Steam

sudo pacman -S steam

- Deleting ~/.local/share/Steam and reinstalling
-

steam --reset

(I just recently started using arch, I just switched from windows and I'm learning)

Which steam installation are you actually using? Please post the output of "type -a steam"
