Display problems on Boot

Hello

There is a problem where I need to power on my monitor before powering on my computer. If I don't its either there will be no signal or maybe get signal that is 640x480. Reboot always worked for now but how do I make this automatically?

Re: Display problems on Boot

Hello this doesn't seem to work. I sometimes get the low-res instead of no signal. Or maybe I did the arch.conf wrong? I added video:DP-1=2560x1440@170me

Re: Display problems on Boot

video=OUTPUT_NAME:resolution…
Is DP-1 even the correct output name and does the output run at 170Hz?? (166 is more common and usually just VRR)

for OUT in /sys/class/drm/card*; do echo $OUT; edid-decode $OUT/edid; echo "================="; done

You'll need https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/v4l-utils/

Re: Display problems on Boot

There's a 2560x1440@170 mode in the second DTD, but the head of the output is completely missing (incl. which output this actually is)
In doubt the syntax (color and equation) is wrong and in general I'd suggest to rather inject the edid.
