[SOLVED] Can't install optional virtual packages

I'm trying to install the python-textual package from the Extra repository along with its optional virtual dependency python-textual-dev. The former works fine with pacman -S python-textual, but the latter fails whether I try to install it with the former, as a dependency, or separately. I updated my system and tried installing a different virtual dependency, python-tree-sitter, but that also failed. This is the error pacman gives me in the terminal:

error: target not found: python-textual-dev

Running pacman -Qi python-textual shows python-textual-dev as an optional dependency.

This is my first time trying to install a virtual package, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here or if the package is just broken. Futher confusing things is that there's a python-textual-dev package in the AUR.

Re: [SOLVED] Can't install optional virtual packages

This is a packaging bug, the package can't depend, even optionally, on things in the AUR.
