esd needed rebuild

For some time I have been having problems with the esd daemon. It would crash (or at least quit) right after any client stopped using it. I thought it was a problem with my hardware or some bug in the program.

Recently, while once more setting out trying to get multiple sounds at the same time working (seems like an ever existing problem in the Linux world, because the perfect mixer is always a WIP, and then another, etc.), I recompiled esd from abs with makepkg and installed that one. And voila, it worked!

Why did the package need a rebuild for me? Would it need one for everybody? I think it might depend on libs that have been upgraded, and become incompatible. Or was this just a glitch?
