LV2 Plugin GUIs not available anymore in recent packages (i.e. Calf)

Hi,

I noticed over the last week that quite a few LV2 plugins that I could use with their GUI suddenly don't have the GUI available anymore.

Two packages where I noticed this are Calf and EQ10Q.

In package version 0.90.8-3, I could see the custom plugin GUI in both Carla and Ardour.

Now, with version 0.90.8-5, neither Carla nor Ardour show the custom GUI anymore. I downgraded to 0.90.8-3, and they're back.

Not sure about the versions for EQ10Q but less than a month ago I was using the Equalizers in EQ mode with the GUI.

Does anybody have a hint what happened?

EDIT: Ok, found the reason at least: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … -/issues/3

Not sure what to do about it because the plugins aren't all that practical to use without UI ... does that mean that I'll have to compile all plugins I want to use myself from now on if they use GTK2?

Best,
n

yes, maybe someone will upload *-gtk2 packages to aur .

calf with gtk2 holds the latest version in repos that did have gtk2 support.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
