Re: [SOLVED] Laptop cant wake up from suspend since Linux 6.16

Reboots automatically?
Only an issue w/ the 6.16 kernels?

Yes pretty much. As previously said, the laptop suspends normally (and even wakes up properly) for around 10 seconds and then reboots "because it feels like it".

And no, it doesn't happen with kernels before 6.16 (I'm on LTS currently, and everything works as expected there)

That article references a bug in hibernation (S4) specifically while the affected users are facing problems w/ S3 and s2idle - it's not very likely that the patches mentioned there will fix anything about the situation ITT
There's a bunch of bisection kernels and 6.16 rc version in https://pkgbuild.com//~gromit/linux-bisection-kernels/ which you can maybe already use to narrow in on the bad patch.

You want to hurry that cause idk when gromit's cleanup script hits.

Re: [SOLVED] Laptop cant wake up from suspend since Linux 6.16

All 6.16 release candidates uploaded there (up to and including rc7.r140) stay suspended just fine.

BTW it might be best to move this discussion to https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2272361 as it's clearly not the same issue the OP had
