Re: Linux 6.15.* kernel crash

There's a patch upstream that "should" fix it. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/ … te_3187910
I've built 6.17.7 with the patch applied, let's hope for the best.

Re: Linux 6.15.* kernel crash

Posted earlier, not sure where to post this.

Long story short. I've moved to Bazzite and I am experiencing the same crash. Bazzite is infinitely more stable, and I believe I have isolated the problem. Since I am pretty sure this is a kernel issue, would that patch upstream be relevant?

Or should I also post the details here/there?

If you're getting that crash and the bazzite/fodora kernel hasn't already applied the patch downstream? Sure.

Re: Linux 6.15.* kernel crash

I can recreate the crash with almost perfect prediction as to when it will occur. That link where I should be bug reporting? Well the amd/issues area anyway.

Yes, where else?

You say that like it's obvious, but I have no idea if that's a place the maintainer for the kernel watch.

Still you are more helpful than people on this forum usually are. So I appreciate it.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be mean or so - it just seems rather that obvious.
Also you don't have to be afraid: even if you report something in the wrong location they'll just pass you on.
Never forget: Nobody can punch you through the internet smile
