Core utils, sudo etc. in rust, and Arch linux policy about it

Ubuntu started to experiment with core utils and sudo versions, that were reimplemented in rust.

I wanted to know what the policy in arch is going to be in regard to these alternative implementations.

Will anything be changed?
Will there be options to pick either the classic c implementations or rust based ones?

I don't know if this is the correct subform for this kind of question but i did not find anything about this topic, so in case this is the wrong subform please tell me and i will transfer it to the proper one, thx!

It's Arch. You can install whatever you like.

uutils-coreutils has been in the extra repo since 2020, and sudo-rs has been there since March.

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.

Standard disclaimer: "It's uses the rust" is not a security strategy. The CVEs w/ sudo rarely revolve around bad memory management but unscrambled data exposure, stale credentials and generally sudo being really powerful because it's also really complex.
The rust implementation just got to learn that… https://www.phoronix.com/news/sudo-rs-s … untu-25.10
