Why does my systemd have --switched-root after every boot? [SOLVED]

This just started happening recently, and I have no idea what caused it. How can I diagnose this?

I assume you followed the changing of the default initramfs from busybox to systemd? That's the change. There's nothing to diagnose, everything is as it should be.

I haven't changed my initramfs settings at all. Was this changed by the Arch maintainers? If not, I still need to see why this is happening.

It was changed by the mkinitcpio maintainers. If you hadn't made any changes at all to your mkinitcpio.conf, the new one would have replaced the old one, otherwise you would have gotten a .pacnew file.
