Dolphin's "Paste Clipboard Contents..." fails for images

I am trying to save an image from my clipboard to a file.
When I right click inside a folder, then click "Paste Clipboard Contents..." I am prompted for the file name, and type (png, jpeg etc) but after clicking "Ok" no file is created.
