Archlinux Beyond kernel is what, exactly?

I have 2 kernels installed, 2.6.19-arch and 2.6.19-beyond, along with the nVida and nVidia-beyond drivers. (Just to see if I could do it)
They coexist just fine, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out what the exact difference or advantage is to using one or the other.
I have googled and looked in the Wiki and forums, but still I can't quite figure it out. Could someone give me a quick explanation or point me to a page?

It aims to include a variety of popular features and updates developed by others that have not yet made it to the vanilla kernel, while remaining relatively stable.

It also include's the CK patchset, which offers some nice interactivity and responsive bonuses. Beyond is useful if you want a combination of this, and any of the other patches included.

I ran across the ck kernel, and was tempted to try it, but since beyond includes it already, there is no need I suppose.

btw, Iphitus, are kernel26beyond pkgs built with 1000hz timer or 250hz?
