nvidia and nvidia-dkms 580.105 failing to render correct resolution

Hello all,
I am on a lenovo IdeaPad L340 with a GTX 1650 max-q with plasma on wayland.
Today after a while (I know my bad for not updating regularly) I have updated my system and noticed that after a reboot the external monitor was displaying the wrong resolution: 2048x1080 instead of the correct one of 2560x1440.
The main monitor was displaying at the correct 1920x1080.
Running "inxi -GMxx --za" gave me the same resolutions as the ones listed above.
output of lspci -k:

lspci -k | grep -A 2 -E "(VGA|3D)"
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation CoffeeLake-H GT2 [UHD Graphics 630]
	Subsystem: Lenovo Device 3a2e
	Kernel driver in use: i915
--
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation TU117M [GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile / Max-Q] (rev a1)
	Subsystem: Lenovo Device 3a2e
	Kernel driver in use: nvidia

I have managed to find a workaround: downgrading nvidia-dkms to 580.95.05-1 (I have not tried if a more recent version between these two does not present the issue) along with all of the other nvidia packages allowed me again to set the correct resolution on the external monitor.
Now I am not sure where I should report this issue and/or what logs I should add in support, looking at this I think it might be a bug in the driver, as downgrading that solved the issue and while I was on the new version all the commands were reporting the same wrong values of 2048x1080.
