Sorry if this is a stupid question I am completely new to arch but my steam keeps loading too big in the screen and cuts off all the sides so it is impossible to use at all

Re: steam issues on hyprland

Can you send your hyprland config and a screenshot maybe ? It might be an issue with window rules

Re: steam issues on hyprland

Are you using the pre configured hyprland setups? If so I would look into the display settings and go into the advanced settings. sometimes the scale is set to 200% on default .

Re: steam issues on hyprland

If you're using the default config you can press "$mainMod + O" and it should take it out of floating mode and make it like the rest of your applications.

Re: steam issues on hyprland

i think you mean "$mainMod + V" since "$mainMod + O" isn't in the default config.

Re: steam issues on hyprland

Not sure if this is the same issue, but my Steam on a fresh archinstall had a similar issue stretching stuff out and severe lag when interacting with it (including resizing). Also on hyprland.

What fixed it for me was turning off "GPU Accelerated rendering in web views". Go to Steam / Setttings / Interface and switch it off and restart Steam.
