[Solved] Make DaVinci Resolve recognize my intel HD Grapics 620

Hello guys,

I tried using information from older posts about notebooks that use the same video driver, mine is a Dell All in One, very same limitation from a notebook hardware. But a newer Arch displays another clinfo oultput:

The OpenCL sees the processor (i7-7500U CPU) as main driver instead o the GPU, and for instalation I used intel-compute-runtime as main driver. I still haven't found a solution.

The default for rusticl in archlinux mesa package is to disable all drivers, you have to enable support for the ones you want to use.

Run (and post the output of)

RUSTICL_ENABLE=iris clinfo

Iris support in rusticl is not deemed mature enough by mesa upstream to enable it by default, so it could cause problems .
Adding it only to start commands for DR and other applications that use opencl minimzes the risks.

Incase you want it to be easy, add it to your ~/.bashrc .

Start DR and exit .
Post the contents of  ~/.local/share/DaVinciResolve/logs/ResolveDebug.txt

This is looking a lot like https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=308390 .

DR has always needed the OpenGL driver and the OpenCL driver to match, maybe the opencl-mesa / rusticl isn't recognized as matching by their detection logic .

The i7-7500U CPU is a 7th generation cpu (kaby lake) and intel-compute-runtime is for gen12 (alder lake) and newer.

For now remove opencl-mesa AND intel-compute-runtime.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Genera … _Intel_GPU lists several alternatives, try intel-compute-runtime-legacy first as that seems to be the newest of the alternatives.

In case you're not familiar with building aur packages, start with reading https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository .

This is working; the graphics driver is now showing up correctly.

Editing here with Resolve is like a videogame quest and Lone_Wolf was a great help to defeat the first boss
