[SOLVED] Segmentation Fault after upgrade (Vorta, Copyq, Virtualbox..)

Hello

I just upgraded my system and when I run apps like Vorta, Copyq or VirtualBox I get the error "Segmentation fault (core dumped)". This is not the first time it happens, a couple of momths ago it happened, then I rolled back with Timeshift, waited a few days, upgraded again and problem solved.

I would like to know if that's the matter also this time? What's curious is that if I run Vorta or Copyq with sudo, it works without problems...

What should I do?

Okay. So I ran Vorta from terminal, got the seg fault error. Then I did

coredumpctl list vorta

And I took the PID of the most recent one and then ran:

Did you perhaps install an external QT style? please post the output of pacman -Qm

qt5-styleplugins is the culprit I guess, it should be fine on rebuild or uninstall

I uninstalled qt5-styleplugins since I saw from the repo's comments that the package is outdated and it would be preferred to use qt5gtk2. The problem was not solved, so I did:

yay -Syu
reboot
yay -S qt5gtk2 qt6gtk2 --rebuild
reboot

Now all working good! Apparently I need to rebuild these packages every time the Qt5/6 libraries gets updated. Thanks everyone for the help big_smile

As if there wasn't enough reason to stop using this old crap, now we don't even ship gtk2 in our repos anymore.

I have a theme that I REALLY like and there's no other way to make it uniform across GTK and QT apps
