Please consider making Dustbin topic writeable, so I can directly post anything that I find useful to other users directly there, instead of relentelessly search for other topic that does match.
Thanks in advance.

Putting on my Moderator Hat
There's a reason it's called Dustbin, allowing writing there is not going to happen.
In case the opening poster feels the move to dustbin is wrong, they can report the thread so other mods can look at it.
The main reason we move PSA posts to the dustbin is that forums move fast and the info gets lost easily.
If it's worth posting, it's worth adding it to the wiki.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

I browse the forum, and I agree with you: there is 'Topics Going Nowhere', which I think suits me fine enough to start there.
Therefore, I think I can keep using the forum normally, I guess.
By the way, I have no idea what 'PSA' means. New member here.

"Public Service Announcement" - essentially any post made to inform users and not to ask a questions.

@jesse6, you cannot start threads in TGN
The thing about PSAs is that they fall into one of the categories
* needs to be filed as bug
* better be mentioned in the wiki
* utterly pointless in explaining what's obvious to everyone else ("PSA: when pacman asks you to choose an alternative dependent package you have to enter one of the numbers. Eg. I entered '3'" )
* somebody is gonna run into this, unable to resolve it and post a question anyway (and no, they won't search the forums for existing PSAs - trust me…)
and therefore they are *always* wrong to post.
I wondered whether it might make sense to have "Shit that's going on right now" stickies, but they would have to be maintained by the mods and when it's worthwile to enter something there, there're usually also so many duplicate posts on the subject that they're busy enough.
Also nobody ever reads the stickies…
