I unplugged my fully charged laptop, and to my surprised within 3 minutes it hard shutdown, like black screen and everything, no sign of life. I plug back in and reboot and it says 1% remaining with 10+ hours to recharge. Then a few minutes later it said 100% again. How can I diagnose the problem?
Zen kernel
Battery vendor COMPAL
Model PABAS0241231
Serial 41167
Health: 54% (Last full charge was 47Wh versus 87Wh when new)

Sounds as if it need recalibration, check
tail /sys/class/power_supply/BAT*/*and see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 8#p2209668 and subsequent posts itt.

Well, I can't replicate the issue anymore, so I'll have to write it off as a one-time bios oddity (since I think the hard shutdown happened at the bios level). I recall this happening once or twice back when I had windows installed on this hardware.
