makepkg.conf new NPROC option

Noticed pacman just gave me a /etc/makepkg.conf.pacnew containing a new option NPROC=2

According to makepkg.conf(5):

NPROC=""
Sets the number of processors to use for parallel jobs in makepkg. Note: this does not affect parallelization of tasks during ``build()`` and related functions.

Reckon I could set that to NPROC="$(nproc)" (or should that be NPROC=$(nproc) ?) to have it simply use the number of processors available, yeah?

Yes - it currently only speeds up stripping of debug symbols at the moment.

Cool, thx! So, should that $(nproc) be quoted here or nah?

No quote.   (it actually makes no difference...)
