Hi,
I realize this problem have existed and been talked about before but the only solution is to turn off power for USB devices in the BIOS off state or replugging the microphone.
These arent options for me anymore, I dont wanna keep replugging the device (The port on the Blue Yeti is quite fragile) and I need power to USB for auto start of the computer in the mornings for servers that I run.
I will help in any way I can but I really really want to find a solution to this!
I've currently tested modprobe, using different types of USB ports and usbreset from the AUR.
I'll post all links I've used tomorrow, I just really wanted to put this out there.
Sincerely
Johnson Star

I've looked everywhere, this is not even Linux specific it happens on Windows (Probably mac too). It appears that this specific mic does not like it if its 100% compatible with the motherboard, the product itself is old so I guess it makes sense.
Some are lucky and some parts of their motherboard's USB outputs will work with the mic even after reboot (like my old pc) but more modern motherboards seems to be more prone to this issue. I'm not going to pretend to know how it actually works, I am med student not a computer scientist, my best guess is that it has something to do with the old micro usb connection the mic still uses.
So the only solution is to get a powered USB hub, no more wear and tear on the cable and I can probably come up with more use cases with this new hub. Anyhow, the SOLUTION is to test your different USB ports to see if it works, make sure mobo is updated and if all else fails get a powered USB hub.
edit* (You can also turn off USB power when your computer is off in your mobo settings, this also works but I just didnt like that.)
