[SOLVED] re2-1:20240702-7-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst.sig 404 Not Found

Hi

I try to install Arch Linux on a PC but

pacstrap -cK /mnt base linux dosfstools f2fs-tools ntfs-3g man-db nano sudo linux-firmware-amdgpu linux-firmware-atheros plasma-meta kde-applications-meta chromium vlc vlc-plugins-all cmatrix supertuxkart teeworlds steam

stopped because of:

404 Not Found

Why is this file missing?

Also there's:

a newer version, so why pacstrap wanna install an old version?

Probably because you're using an out-of-date mirror .

What mirror did you select in the https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Instal … he_mirrors step ?

So https://fastly.mirror.pkgbuild.com/ is out of date?

I not selected a mirror, I use by default the latest archlinux-2025.12.01-x86_64.iso , so which mirror should I use? I'm french.

Hm, that's a weird one. That mirror is a "special" one, using a CDN to provide a "worldwide" mirror, but the endpoint you're hitting appears to be outdated -- try switching to a different mirror (edit /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist and remove the fastly one) and re-run pacstrap.

https://fastly.mirror.pkgbuild.com/extr … ar.zst.sig works - at least not in the browser.
curl or wget don't receive either, curl --path-as-is doesn't help.

Seems the url decoding of the mirror is broken…
