Evolution compose window colour bug

I am running Evolution mail in plasma desktop under Wayland.  I have had issues with setting the text and background colours in the compose window for some time, for HTML mail, and only today realise that there is a bug in Evolution.  So I am referencing the bug report in case other users may have come across the same issue, and hopefully this bug will be fixed and released before too long in a new version.  This is the bug report:
