So I updated my computer last night and today so many things don't work.
for example. I try protonvpn-app I get:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/protonvpn-app", line 5, in <module>
from proton.vpn.app.gtk.__main__ import main
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'proton'same with many other apps
haruna: error while loading shared libraries: libpython3.13.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryrssguard: error while loading shared libraries: libpython3.13.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory pacman -Qoq /usr/lib/python3.14shows python built again 3.14 but everything else is 3.13. not sure if this matters.
any help on how to resolve this shared library issue

python 3.14.2-2 is in core-testing, there're no haruna or rssguard rebuilds (in testing) for it.

so best advice would be to remove core-testing and update to roll back the updates?

*All* testing repos! (revisit the link in doubt)
Alternatively you can also downgrade in testing, but python 3.14 is in testing since mid december…
But other than that and rebuilding the packages yourself there's no good option until the python clients you're using have been rebuilt for python 3.14 (no idea whether the problem is the holidays or something w/ the python update)

thanks for the advice I disabled the testing repo and did a full rollback on everything. I thought I broke something being stupid. Thanks Seth. everything is all good now.

Mod note: moving to [testing]

Testing repos are all or nothing. Enabling [core-testing] without [extra-testing] is unsupported and *will* break your system.

I am running into the same issue, and I have never used any testing repositories.
Updated my system a couple of hours ago and a few programs (such as obs and streamcontroller) are returning
obs: error while loading shared libraries: libpython3.13.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryI double-checked /etc/pacman.conf to ensure they were commented, and ran pacman -Syuu anyway afterwards just to be certain.
Is there any other avenue I can explore for why I am unable to run some programs?

What version of obs-studio do you have installed? Is your mirror up to date?

'streamcontroller' is an AUR package, so you will need to rebuild that yourself.
In any case, closing this solved thread.
