I have a laptop and although the sound works fine with the hda-intel driver from alsaconf, I have some issues with it.
- first problem is that when I insert my headphones into the... well headphones jack, I can hear them fine, but the sound from the laptop's speakers doesn't stop, they both work in parallel. There is some indication of this in alsamixer where it doesn't matter whether i move the first or second volume bar(headphones and front), it's like I'm moving the same one. Here is what my alsamixer looks like.
- also, although the mic that's incorporated into the laptop works fine, my external mic doesn't work at all.
These are the specs of my laptop.
