ogmrip doesn't rip

Hello,

I compiled ogmrip from the AUR.
It starts finely and I can change the settings and read in the DVD.

But when I try to start the extract process, it only outputs:
Extracting audio stream 1 and hangs.
When I select sub titles ogmrip extract it, but hangs again when it begins to extractthe audio stream.
I tried to select different audio codecs, but that doesn't help.

Has anybody an idea or can confirm that the AUR version works?

I use OGMRIP often. I experience this more frequently when ripping old and beat up discs. Never had a problem with a brand new disc. It's always the ones with lots of visible marks on them. Granted, they'll play just fine, but extracting/ripping is where it fails.

I'd love to know a way to fix this. Disc cleaners/repairers have little effect.

check the optional dependencies?

not sure about the aur version but the repository one has always worked for me.

there are initiatives to thwart riping of proprietary media.
