Bluetooth HFP crashes whole gnome session and reconnects in a loop

Hey there,

just recently a new issue started to appear, so I suspect a regression somewhere.

I have a WH-1000XM6, as soon as it switches to the HFP (i.e. joining a meeting) mode, it completely crashes the gnome session. When using the headset in the other mode A2DP everything is fine. Just it doesn't work as a microphone anymore.

I tried the LTS kernel as well, same behavior.

Any idea where else I can look, any other logs I could provide to localize the issue further?

I am experiencing the same problem with WH-1000XM3.
It seems it's related to the latest wireplumber update

Same issue with WF-1000XM4

"solved" downgrading the packages:

pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/wireplumber-0.5.12-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst /var/cache/pacman/pkg/libwireplumber-0.5.12-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

Let's see is something happens upstream in a while..
