Thinking of dropping KDE after all for many reasons, none of which is resource use. Wanna make myself a good-looking XFCE (have been an on and off user) build with animations and stuff, but since the Wayland session is incomplete, there's no way I'm gonna daily it with Wayfire yet. Thus, comes in Wayfire's daddy. How much do the two branches of Compiz differ? How's the performance of 0.9 as compared to 0.8? I've tested 0.8 for a bit and I generally liked it, except for it being not as Snappy as Wayfire. What plugins would you advise? And one little thing: is Compiz 0.9 GTK decorator compatible with GTK3 themes used for XFCE? Cause only got the built-in old ones to work with on 0.8 and had to stick with the Emerald decorator.
