Thanks Zod, that would probably fix steam. I tried adding everything nouveau related, opencl and everything, but ultimately failed. I'm sure this wiki would help.
BUT!
This bug appears fixed now, thanks to the OP guy that responded in that Pulseaudio bug report. Basically adding yourself to the audio group fixes this problem so,
sudo gpasswd -a username audioAnd it's done! So far so good! Tried numerous suspends and it's working. ![]()
Yep, it's fixed for good!

I recently returned to utilizing nouveau.
Unlike the proprietary driver, this problem occurs to me too with nouveau.
Yet, after a few hours, sound returns.
So, I hink that it be better to ask the developers of nouveau to fix this.
