About Local Mirror Wiki Article

Hi There,

I think there is a mistake in the "Local Mirror" article.

# Use this user for anonymous logins
ftp_username=mirror

# User to run vsftpd as (same as ftp_username)
nopriv_user=mirror

needs to change to some other user. Because we create a directory (/home/mirror/) which is owned by the user mirror, vsftpd doesn't let us to set mirror as the anonymous user. Because we don't give permission to the anonymous user to upload or write to the folders.

Changing

nopriv_user=mirror ==> nopriv_user=nobody

and

ftp_username=mirror ==> ftp_username=ftp

is fine. Can somebody please confirm this, so we can change the article in the wiki ?
