8BitDo controller triggering hibernation

I've run into a weird bug where my 8BitDo Ultimate 2C controller triggers hibernation whenever I try to connect it via Bluetooth. The controller usually works perfectly on multiple devices, using either the cable, 2.4GHz dongle or Bluetooth. Specifically on my laptop though, when connecting through Bluetooth, the laptop hibernates. This does not happen when using the cable or dongle. I've tried searching for similar bug reports but couldn't find anything specific to this controller. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to prevent it?

System:
- Kernel: linux-6.18.7.arch1-1 (it also happens on linux-cachyos-6.18.8-3 and I've had this problem for at least 4 months, so older kernels might have the same problem)
- Laptop: Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 14AKP10
- Controller: 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless
