I'm having a similar issue. I put a script to reinstall packages with the phrase "hypr" in it and it gave me EOF out of nowhere, preventing me from reinstalling.

This is not the same problem as
TLS connect error: error:0A000126:SSL routines::unexpected eof while reading
The more likely problem is piping your creative sed chain into xargs here.
