Hi,
Been thinking about adding some features to netcfg lately (namely auto-connect for wireless profiles and auto-mount of network shares available for said profile). However, I've encountered numerous information about a new network profile management system (whatever it is called) coming our way in 0.8. So, my question is: where can I get it? I'd like to try it out and maybe hack around it to add functionality I need. Anyone could point me to the source code/package/pkgbuild/mailing-list entry?

Well; if it's true and there's a new network profile management system is coming, does it support PPPOE connections so that we can fire it up with the network profile without having to load the adsl daemon ?

yep. I've been working on them.
currently they just need fixing up and testing.
- yes they "support" pppoe. I don't have a pppoe connection available to test, so it probably doesnt work yet.
neuro: they include those features you want in various forms.

I'd like to beta-test the new scripts, if its possible. Could help out with any bugs found. Is there any way of getting these?

Will it replace the existing network scripts ?

Will it replace the existing network scripts ?
I guess so.
iphitus: When can we expect the new scripts to be available? If they are usable (ethernet + wifi), could you please upload them somewhere for testing? I'd much appreciate that.
