Rule Meaning

In the rules (of the forum), what does it mean by "easy arch installer"? Does it mean stuff like EndeavourOS? Or does it mean archinstall?

Can someone please give me context?

Re: Rule Meaning

It should CLI or TUI installers like archinstall. This forum does not provide support for other distributions even if they are based on Arch Linux.

Re: Rule Meaning

The suggested installation follows https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Installation_guide
Archinstall related problems (including "i don't know how this was configured by archinstall") need to be discussed in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewforum.php?id=51
If you used some other install script you found on the internet, followed some likeshareandsubscribe youtuber on the journey to install archlinux or are using a derivative distribution (like EOS) that counts as you not using archlinux at all.

Re: Rule Meaning

Archinstall is technically supported, but should only be used by experienced Arch Linux users who know what they're doing and want to speed up automated deployments. It shouldn't be used by clueless users who think it's an shortcut to being a l337 pro hacker who goes around saying "lol i use arch btw" or whatever.

If you want to use Arch, follow the installation guide. Learn how to install, configure, and maintain the system you're using. Don't take shortcuts and expect the community to pick up your slack and spoonfeed you answers.
