[solved] Nemo unable to open as root

Using nemo as my file manager in hyprland, however when I try to open a folder as root from the right-click menu, I see no password popups. Instead, a small window opens that reads:

Could not display "admin:///home/user/...folder".
Access was denied.

Did I miss something in my configurations, or is this another issue? No system journal entries show up when I try to use that option, not sure what other info could be useful.

Any help appreciated, TIA.

try installing https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … kde-agent/
also add it to your hyprland config so it starts on login...

Edit:
also ensure you have https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/gvfs/

Forgot to install hyprpolkitagent. Added that and enabled the service, now it works. Thank you!
