Another "I broke ArchLinux after a pacman -Syu" question

I had that lovely kernel panic that folks are getting due to the initrd line, so I changed it according to this thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=28567

And booted. Now I get:

init: Unable to mount root fs on device dev(0,0)
init: init not found!
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

Help? sad

It might help if you were to post the contents of your entry for Arch in the menu.lst file, and also to let us know about your partition scheme, i.e. what drive is Arch on and how do you have the system dirs partitioned; such as '/' and '/boot'?

set the filesystem root with rootfstype=[filesystem{ext4dev}] on the kernel line.
also,
boot off the -fallback
