Waking up system via USB device connected to the dock

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to wake my Thinkpad X13 Gen 3 from suspend (s2idle) using external device in the following configuration:

Mouse/Keyboard --> USB C dock --> Laptop

but with no luck. I'm using HP G5 dock, but also tried another one with same result. When system is running dock is working fine,
mouse/keyboard directly connected to the laptop wakes system as expected. That's what I've tried until now:

~ enabling USB power related settings in UEFI
~ updating UEFI
~ updating dock firmware
~ enabling wakeup in "/sys/bus/usb/devices/*/power/"

Also tried to setup Wake-on-LAN but it seems that everything connected through the dock is blocked.
I don't know if it can be configured or if it's a hardware limitation, so I would appreciate any hint smile

Re: Waking up system via USB device connected to the dock

Did you ever find an answer to this? I am having the exact same issue. ThinkPad T14s, wakes up from suspend fine if I connect the keyboard directly to the Laptop, but if I connect it to my HP u28 monitor as a dock it does not wake up.
echo "enabled" > /sys/bus/usb/devices/xyz/power/wakeup had no effect.

Re: Waking up system via USB device connected to the dock

I have also found this to be something of interest.
I have a Thinkpad P1 Gen 7 which I am running with GNOME.
Things that I have tried:
1. Enabled wakeup on all the USB devices (except fingerprint and webcam) for the entire chain but nothing.
2. Enabled HandleLidSwitchDocked and HandleLidSwitchPower to ignore
3. Patched the DSDT to allow for S3 sleep (doesn't work because CU7 165H doesn't seem to support S3 anymore)
4. Running acpi_osi=Windows 2015

I'm guessing Lenovo ACPI firmware does not support wake up Thunderbolt or XHCI for Linux.

It does work on Windows 11 though which I used to use a fair bit before installed Arch so definitely FW limitation than HW.
