Hello, I just got 2k hdr monitor and I know that wayland has a beta support for hdr, so I want to try it. I wanted to do it myself, but guides are outdated ( and they do not have a guide for my set up, as I have a second 1080p no hdr monitor) and arch wiki is too complicated.
I have KDE plasma and latest nvidia drivers (590.48.01). I have enabled it in KDE setting, but it seems to insufficient, to watch videos (in firefox preferably, but I could also use chromium) and play some games (minecraft and steam)
If you need more info about my system, just ask
and Thank You in advance

With the current nvidia drivers you won't be able to use HDR for applications using vulkan (many steam games do use vulkan)
Is that limitation acceptable for you ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Nvidia forum thread mentioned some people have got things working with the beta driver.
It seems worth a try.
