amdgpu System Hang Launching Satisfactory via Proton

The corresponding lines in the journal says:

steam[1649]: Fossilize INFO: Overriding serialization path: "/home/apollo/Games/SteamLibrary/steamapps/shadercache/526870/fozpipelinesv6/steamapprun_pipeline_cache".
kernel: amdgpu 0000:08:00.0: amdgpu: Disabling VM faults because of PRT request!

Im pretty sure it crashes as soon as it tries to load the main menu.
I'm on pure arch using the normal kernel, using an RX 580 and launching the game via Proton 10.0-4, if more information is required I will give it and if this should be reported elsewhere instead of here also let me know as this is my first post and it seems to be an issue with the driver. This is also the singular application I have have experienced this crash in. My system is up to date, and this has been a problem for over a year but that's not really important.

I can't say that I know or can figure out the issue, but it might be easier (for others probably) if more information is given.

Did a little quick qwantling for that error msg. Didn't give me much, but among other things, I saw it with someone having problem configuring system with dual graphics and such.

You obviusly have an amd GPU, but what graphic cards?

Do you have a dual GPU setup, or single?

Laptop?

Have u installed lib32-mesa and lib32-vulkan-radeon?

with the recent 1.2 update there was also an engine upgrade of the unreal engine
could be your old card just doesn't cut it anymore - not much you or css can do - that's epics fault ... well except for getting your hands on a newer gpu

Re: amdgpu System Hang Launching Satisfactory via Proton

I have all the required packages so I don't think that's the problem, and another thing after looking at ProtonDB reports with the same gpu as me, one person had it work fine and another gave two polar opposite vague reviews.

For clarity i'll say some things clearly.
GPU: A singular AMD RX 580 (4GB VRAM)
CPU: Ryzen 5 1400 Quad Core
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
Issue has been reproducable on 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2.
I have only been able to launch the game twice on this device and no more, once at like 2 fps and another at 70-80. I was never able to launch it without it hanging ever since.
This could very well be a proton issue at this point but every version I have tried has not fixed it, Experimental, Hotfix, and 10 (9 too I think). Im using 10 as default right not on steam.
I have no clue if BIOS settings have any play on this, and if there is no other info pointing to it other than speculation im not going to bother messing with them right now. I currently have C-state and SMT Mode disabled in my UEFI.
Trying to force DX11, 12 and Vulkan have all done nothing everytime.
Also I am on a desktop, the game runs fine on my laptop but that's not part of the problem.

It hangs practically right when the main menu would be loaded with all of the geometry, I used to thing it was some issue with LOD's being loaded but the journal isn't saying anything about that, those are the two lines that actually gave info on the crash. If there is somewhere else that allows me to give more information please ask me.
