It was a full system upgrade. In fact, I had ran -Syu yesterday because I thought krita 5.3 had released and it was fine, I then ran -Syu again today, which caused the problem. I rebooted my system

I recompiled mangowm and rebooted without success. I've uninstalled qt6ct trying to narrow down the problem, but it just had stopped applying the theme, e.g. dolphin, qbittorent. I've also tried to unset QT_QPA_PLATFORM and QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME. This person had the same problem on the same update, but for another program https://github.com/AyuGram/AyuGramDesktop/issues/314
That's the full Krita log

I've also tried the 5.3.0 AppImage version and it works fine.

Is that https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Waylan … plications ?
I'm on Mangowm Wayland session
Same on eg. weston?
Do you also have a backtrace and shell output for qt6ct?

qt6ct opens fine, but it was functionally useless as it wasn't applying the theme. I've reinstalled it with -Syu and rebooted, and now it's applying the theme but not the colors. which were working previously, but I guess that's just the usual "theming QT outside of KDE" nightmare.
The problem is krita crashing.

I just installed weston to test, and it gives me a different error, but I think it`s unrelated, it seems to be trying to run it through xwayland

Thanks, TIL krita ships its own platform plugin. Should be fixed in 6.0.0-2.
