[SOLVED]Random CPU and GPU spikes

After I booted my laptop today, it started lagging severely with only firefox and discord open. Looking at my usage it was just spiking to 80% randomly (both CPU and GPU). a reboot fixed it, but when I try launching something, that requires more than like 10% my CPU power it starts doing it again, while my laptop should not have any issues, since i just played this game perfectly yesterday. I've found couple of similar issues that were solved, but all of those issue had different solutions, so I'm not sure what to do. (I did -Syu, of course) 
I can still see the lag with only firefox and discord launched, but it does not feel laggy

Edit: also with essentially no apps launched, youtube lags severely, when I'm trying to navigate it, but when I do nothing and just watch the video, it works perfectly fine

I'm actually stupid. Turns out, my laptop was not plugged in. I would've deleted this post, but this is against the rules, so I guess it is solved now.
