you should not use an AUR helper when you have to ask such a question
but to answer it properly:
sudo pacman -SyuOffline
To add to cryptearth’s point: always make sure your official repositories are fully up to date before dealing with AUR packages, in practice, yay -Syu already does this; it runs a full system upgrade via pacman first, then proceeds with AUR updates... avoid partial upgrades
Also note: if a package you installed from AUR later appears in the official repos, you may need to switch over manually to avoid conflicts...
