Steam and other apps start but no window

This happened randomly when i was trying to open a game on steam and was stuck on launching, so i closed steam and tried launching it again. It launched but i couldn't see a window. Then discord, virtual box and other apps started doing the same thing. Ive tried fixing steam first by reinstalling it, reinstalling drivers, reinstalling xwayland, updating the system, and searching online. I didn't update or change any config or download anything before it happened, it just randomly broke.

Discord also does the same, even though i see it on my tray

have you tried to reboot?
every once in a while i face some similar issues - rebooting usually does the trick

Yea, its all xwayland apps that dont work. I tried installing xorg-xclock to make sure its xwayland apps and it didnt work, but librewolf and telegram works because its not using xwayland. I rolled back to an earlier snapshot that had xwayland working and i noticed that aquamarine was on version 0.11.0-1 and im currently on 0.11.0-2. xorg-xwayland package and the nvidia packages are all the same version as my current setup. The output that xrandr showed was also different, it showed both my monitors but my current setup doesnt.

Electron usually would take "--ozone-platform=wayland", but might not for precompiled flatpaks and such.

What was/is previous/good version of xwayland ? Does only downgrading xorg-xwayland fix the problem?

The old snapshot i rolled back to, has the same xorg-xwayland version as both my old working snapshot and my current broken setup. I also just tried downgrading xorg-xwayland and that didn't work. The only difference i found is the version of aquamarine 0.11.0-1 (old working snapshot) vs 0.11.0-2 (current broken setup). Heres the xorg log output for both the old snapshot and my current setup.

Check the pacman log for what actually was updated, aquamarine 11.0-2 is a rebuild for the https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/hyprutils/ update, ie. your entire hyprland stack should™ have been updated.

Are you using some DM ?
This is probably not from xwayland but a real X11 session (the DM since you cannot write into /var/log)

Are you using some DM ?
This is probably not from xwayland but a real X11 session (the DM since you cannot write into /var/log)

Oh, im using sddm. Should the xorg log file be in 

/var/log/

or 

~/.local/share/xorg/

I just tested it with i3 and it does work. So, I'm not sure if that means ima have to downgrade because of all of the hyprland packages it updated, and that caused it to break? Or is it something else?
