SYNA7DB5 Touchpad don't works

Hello everyone,

I installed Arch on my laptop Acer Aspire E5 575G a few months ago, and my touchpad can click, but can't move the cursor. I unchecked the option "Disable when mouse is connected" but it didn't change anything. With the command "cat /proc/bus/input/devices", I get :
I: Bus=0018 Vendor=06cb Product=7db7 Version=0100
N: Name="SYNA7DB5:00 06CB:7DB7 Touchpad"
P: Phys=i2c-SYNA7DB5:00
S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:15.0/i2c_designware.0/i2c-5/i2c-SYNA7DB5:00/0018:06CB:7DB7.0006/input/input27
U: Uniq=
H: Handlers=event9 mouse1
B: PROP=5
B: EV=1b
B: KEY=e520 10000 0 0 0 0
B: ABS=2e0800000000003
B: MSC=20

I found a script (https://github.com/mirko-laruina/i2c_SYNA7DB5_fix) on github who is removing the I2C controller from the PCI bus and adding it back. It works until I don't move my cursor for a few seconds, then it returns like before. I tried to reload the driver :
modprobe -r hid_multitouch
modprobe hid_multitouch
But it didn't change anything too.
I don't know what to do. Thanks for your help, and sorry for my trash english wink

Re: SYNA7DB5 Touchpad don't works

I'm dealing with the same laptop. I've solved it by going into the BIOS, and setting the touchpad from advanced to basic.

See this forum post for details:

PS, I could read your English just fine, don't worry about it.
