[SOLVED] gajim notification sounds broken after updating

Updating from gajim 2.4.4 to 2.4.6 causes notification sounds to no longer function. I observe that no audio sink is visible in pavucontrol when testing the notification sounds in the settings. Downgrading back to 2.4.4 using pacman -U fixes the sound. I made sure I have the latest gsound installed since I know that's a common cause of gajim's sound not working.

Had to install gst-plugins-good to fix notification sounds. This is because gajim switched from using GSound/libcanberra to using GTK4's Gtk.MediaFile API for playing sound files between 2.4.4 and 2.4.6.
