The Arch SSO already lets you use GitHub.
That does not seem to be the case... when doing "continue with github", it still wants an arch account:
"Authenticate to link your account with github"
Username or email:

Hence this is more like "Link accounts" - I don't understand why is that even a thing - what symbiosis does arch account and github account have together?

As far as I can tell that's a gitlab default option. If used it copies some data from the github account like username but that's all.
You do realize this thread is from 2023 ?
