Limitation in reporting workflow for 0-post accounts?

I've noticed a pattern of accounts registering with explicit/NSFW or malicious links in their "Website" field, then waiting a few days to post that link on website/spam. Currently, we can only report a user after they have posted...
Note: Am not accusing every account is sus, and they will post the spam link waiting for weeks or months or years, my question is not about discussing that probability by statistically smile

what are your thoughts on adding a "Flag" or "Report" button directly to the user profile page?
wait also I'm not sure if it can be implemented on FluxBB...

I'm curious how you are even noticing these accounts. Waaaaay back when FluxBB was still maintained (before a t-rex ate the last maintainer, RIP), we had a plugin that could detect zero-post accounts with profile URLs. These days I guess you'd look at the User List, sort by Registered (descending), click an individual account, click on Personal, and check the website value, then move on to the next newest account?

If you're that bored I've got a whole bunch of flat-packed bee hive frames that need making up. tongue

If there are any particularly grim spam accounts, feel free to send me a PM or report it to forum@archlinux.org, but generally reporting spam accounts as they become active is fine.

I was actually waiting for the image game thread, and noticed the “Newest Registered user”. The username looked kinda normal, yet still  I checked the profile. The website pointed to an adult site, and the email domain also looked like a disposable one, which made it stand out...

I’ve seen similar accounts in the past eventually post promotional/spam links, so it got me thinking about the reporting limitation.
So yeah, not actively scanning profiles lol just a bit of "pattern recognition" from time to time wink

And about bees , I’ve been bitten before too, not a great experience hmm

I'll keep this offer preserved wink
