[Solved] Pasting into vi by middle click stopped working

Hi, recently after upgrading of vim, I can no longer past into vim from anywhere else, except from inside the vim screen.  I saw an old post on the subject which suggests looking at /etc/vimrc but /etc/vimrc hasn't changed (pasting with middle click stopped working maybe one or two month ago, but I have a copy of /etc/vimrc that dates back to last novembre, with exactly same content).  I don't have /.vimrc .  Downgrading vim to the version 9.1 doesn't solve the problem, and downgrading vim to the version 8.2 is impossible because of some missing shared object file.

Would anyone know where the problem comes from and how to solve this?  It seems vim started to have some other strange behaviou, like moving the cursor by mouse and not by arrow keys (or j,k.l...)  changes the input zone...

For other applications, so far, I haven't noticed any behavior change of the middle click, so this is really vim issue.

It looks like having a .vimrc file solves the problem
